School ceiling refurb

Blounts has been dedicatedly working at Stondon Lower School, ensuring a significant upgrade in their infrastructure.

Our recent project involved the removal of outdated suspended ceilings and their replacement with the advanced Echophon Gedina edge tiles. These tiles were installed in various corridors and classrooms, significantly enhancing sound reduction in these high-traffic areas, benefiting both pupils and staff. Moreover, the Echophon tiles offer easier access for maintenance and improve heat retention, contributing to the school’s energy efficiency.

Complementing this upgrade, the newly installed LED lighting creates a more conducive learning environment.

Wisbech premises improvement

Blounts recently undertook a project in Wisbech, aimed at enhancing a local business’s premises.

Our client faced a challenge with their staff entrance doors, which were persistently slamming due to negative pressure generated by the production extraction system.

Our solution involved the replacement of these doors with advanced models featuring Louvre vents, a vision panel, and are equipped with escape bars and an external handle.

This upgrade not only resolved the door slamming issue but also ensured the maintenance of the required fire safety standards.

The successful implementation of this solution stands as a testament to Blounts’ ability to address unique client challenges effectively.

Holbeach office installation

Blounts is proud to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive installation project in Holbeach.

Our skilled team executed the installation with precision, incorporating new wall linings, tape and joint, as well as suspended ceilings enhanced with insulation.

We further transformed the space by installing elegant glass partitions with manifestations and constructing stud work to create distinct office areas.

The project was completed with meticulous decoration, the laying of new flooring, and the fitting of new door frames and doors.

The client has now transitioned into their newly outfitted office space, expressing immense satisfaction with the high-quality finish and functionality of the work.

Salvation Army Corps Hall

The Blounts team were engaged in a significant project at the Salvation Army Corps Hall in Derby.

Following the removal of an asbestos ceiling, our skilled team was tasked with the installation of a new ceiling grid and tiles, adding a crucial layer of 300mm insulation to meet EPC regulations.

Additionally, we enhanced the facility’s energy efficiency with the installation of new, LED lighting and strategically placed pin spots to accentuate the wall crest.
